hand weaved jaspe' fabric jacket through a mission project in Guatemala.

"Creating Revenue through the Arts"

I have been in Guatemala for one week and have purchased 21 cortes (Mayan skirt fabric) from Chajul, Santa Maria, and Antigua. I developed "Creating Revenue through the Arts" project eight years ago while working with the Mayan communities of Guatemala. Together we design contemporary apparel, make patterns, and sew the apparel with the Mayan hand weaved jaspe’ fabrics.

I am also attending the San Jose' Spanish school to brush up on my Spanish, which always makes working here a lot easier! I'll be in San Juan Del Obisbo until the April 1st. I am staying with a wonder family at the San Juan Del Obisbo Jardin. This year's jacket is featured below!
