I work with the indigenous Mayan weavers of Guatemala teaching them how to design and make patterns for contemporary jackets handmade with their handwoven fabric. This collaborative work is part of my "Creating Revenue through the Arts" fair trade project. My Huipil Jacket is accented with handwoven tapestry panels, woven on back-strap looms, an angled metal zipper, and hidden deep side pockets.
My indigo jacket is hand-sewn with two side pockets. Only size large is available.
