The fine art of fiber wall sculptures and hangings by Wendy Carpenter reveals her personal expressionism style through borderline "abstract-literal" interpretations. Fiber art that captures the emotion and power of objects by abstracting the natural world.

The "Ancestral paper" captures the emotion and power through abstracting the ancient  Pueblo clothing from the Early Basketmaker ll Era (12 Century BCE). I saw an Anasazi clothing artifact in Utah and was inspired to recreate it through a paper medium.

The ash wood frame measures 2' wide x 3' long, 4" deep. The paper art form is constructed with a cotton pulp, applied pigment, and incorporated with hand weaved wool fabric.
