Wendy Carpenter weaves fiber wall sculpture and large tapestries revealing an impressionist art style derived through borderline abstract-literal interpretations, inspired by nature, and expressed in form, color, and tactile materials.
"Sun Rise Sculpture" depicts the sun's energy rolling across the mid-west farmland. It is handwoven with 100% handspun wool yarn and measures 8' long by 3' wide. It is part of the "Preserving Americana" collection that conceptualizes our ancestors' farming culture during the early 1900s'.
